9 Things Women Notice in Men

Your first impression may not be the last one, but you surely wouldn’t want to look unattractive when you’re meeting a woman for the first time, especially if you want your relationship to progress with her. Women are keen observers and frankly, they do notice men’s physical appearance, based on which they might arrive at various conclusions. Now, if you don’t want to be the least popular among women, take care of these nine aspects and you should do just fine.
9 things women notice in men
1. Height: It’s probably the first thing a woman notices in a man. Irrespective of whether you’re tall or short, you should be able to carry your height well. Avoid slouching if you’re too tall and avoid being uncomfortable around tall women if you’re short.
2. Flat tummy: A protruding belly is a complete turn-off for women because fitness is something that they really appreciate. Don’t aim for six-pack abs, but at least work out in the gym hard enough to lose that extra layer of fat around your belly. (Read:More - http://www.findonweb.net/blog/9-things-women-notice-in-men/)

Smackdown: Paris vs. London

Since Paris is much smaller than London, its center and outlying quartiers can be navigated in a short period of time. Instead of jam-packed schedules and crowding into the massive tourist-laden museums such as the Louvre, visitors are now taking long weekend breaks to spend time outdoors exploring the city’s authentic neighborhoods to get a feel for how Parisians really live and play. In just a few days, they can eat in the superhot 11th arrondissement restaurants (Bones,Septime, the Clown Bar); sip late-night cocktails on hidden rooftops (Le Perchoir) and in underground caverns (Lockwood); go for an early-morning hike through the cobblestone streets of Edith Piaf’s Belleville before lunch at Le Baratin wine bar; and picnic along the Canal Saint-Martin, where barge pilots steer through the narrow waterways.

Popular way to get around town: Forget taking a taxi; the affordable car service Uber is all the rage. Simply download the app using a credit card, tap it when you need a car, and the GPS locator tells the driver exactly where you are. Bonus? You don’t need to know your address or speak French. The driver sends a text that he is en route; attaches his photo, name, and contact information; and shows his current location and arrival time in real time. Once in the car, you get cold water bottles, iPhone chargers, and A/C. When you leave the car, no cash is needed and the tip is included.

The British Airways app [New version for iPhone & Android, launched 21 May]

Please list any issues/queries here. Updated to post # 87 plus 129.
The British Airways app [New version for iPhone & Android, launched 21 May]
iOS
Problem :
-upgrade button doesn’t work. It delivers MMB section but no upgrade ability (says to use normal website)
-seat map doesn’t work (just shows random symbols, not sure if iOS or Android related)
-BEY is in the “Europe” category rather than Middle East
-FDH: an extra “f”
-passbook error fails to download boarding pass - details here.
-On the flight status pages, there is no way to refresh the flight status to view latest information – surely you should be able to swipe down to refresh?
-Wifi password page lists closed BA lounges – Nairobi, Istanbul, Mumbai.
Query :
-will gate numbers and baggage carousel numbers for non UK airports be displayed?
-Does the timer that determines how soon after departure time the “your next flight” section is updated work? And does this adjust with delays to the flight?
-where did the airport maps go?
-no pictures on the new destinations
Feature Request :
-Booking of awards within the app
-GUI menu button move to left hand side
-synch across devices so if checked in on PC then ability to directly get BP
-gate number displayed on BP
-display booking class in MMB section under further details. (currently this only works using the upgrade button and then clicking on the flight segment in question)
-consistent UI (some sections are new and some revert to mobile site GUI)
-swipe to go back one step as per Apple standards
-change style to tabs instead of home screen and hamburger system
-weather shown should be for date of arrival (if less than 2 weeks away)
-HHA missing info (household account)
-resize add a booking on my bookings screen (too much real estate)
-contact us shows general contact info and not status specific info. (Gold line example)
-opton to turn off the return fares from London bit on bottom of home screen
-A hopeless request, but can it not be made to work with iOS6?
- For those of us who use both iOS and Android, minor request but can we have ‘My account’ list Avios and TPs in the same order (Android shows TPs then Avios, iOS shows Avios then TPs)
- Similarly can the menu be consistently either top left or top right on both (top right IMHO)
- Can it show LT TPs (at the very least in Full account details, if not on the main page with current Avios/TPs)
- Can it show GGL status properly please – if ba.com does, so should the app
Android
Problem :
-Flight Status, by Route & by Airport.
-The airport master data is loaded as :
London, United Kingdom, LCY, City Airport
London, United Kingdom, LGW, Gatwick
London, United Kingdom, LHR, Heathrow
Which ever one you choose, it displays as “London, United..”, so you can’t tell
which airport you’ve selected.
-upgrade button doesn’t work. It delivers sorry all available seats have been sold (incorrectly)
-changing seat button doesn’t work (may just be current BA.com issue related)
-seat map doesn’t work (just shows random symbols, not sure if iOS or Android related)
Query :
-Android Widget no longer seems to exist. Is this intentional?
-version needed to upgrade app? (4.0.2 or earlier compatibility)?
-old boarding passes, are they still available? - yes, just go into previous bookings(EDIflyer)
Feature Request :
-Executive Club contact details (with the appropriate number for logged-in user’s current tier)
-Booking of awards within the app
-add to calendar feature should allocate time according to flight duration not a fixed 1 hour
-smoother scrolling
-better contrast when Silver status and text at top of app window (white text)
- For those of us who use both iOS and Android, minor request but can we have ‘My account’ list Avios and TPs in the same order (Android shows TPs then Avios, iOS shows Avios then TPs)
- Similarly can the menu be consistently either top left or top right on both (top right IMHO)
- Can it show LT TPs (at the very least in Full account details, if not on the main page with current Avios/TPs)
- Can it show GGL status properly please – if ba.com does, so should the app

Get Airport Tax Refund (Unused Flight Ticket)

Airport tax refund
Just missed your flight? Or cancelled your ticket because you were sick? Don’t get ripped of by your travel agent or airline when they say that the ticket is 100% non-refundable!
Unused Flight Tickets Value
Probably ONLY the FARE is non-refundable! The airport taxes imposed by governments & local authorities are ALWAYS refundable. The only thing is; airlines & travel agents won’t tell you this because the make a immense amount of money by keeping those taxes for themselves.
Only in the event you ask for it, they might refund the airport taxes to you. Although you would have a hard time to tell this to the outsourced call-centre agent in India, since he only sticks to his script. & refund airport taxes is not on his list of work.
Airlines must publish the amount of passengers, cargo & mail to the arrival & departing airport, so those airport can calculate the exact amount of taxes & charges. Hence; the airlines are charged by the EXACT amount of passengers actually flown. In the event you didn’t fly, your airline doesn’t must pay your taxes to the airports. That’s not a crime of work, but, they also refuse to refund those taxes automatically to you.
How to get your money back?
Basically ask for it! Airlines & OTA’s (Online Travel Agencies) have contact centers & are available by e-mail, phone & social media. The best way to get your airport tax is by e-mail, so you have everything documented & airlines can never say that they didn’t say to or promised to you.
The first reply you’ll get is probably that your ticket is non-refundable & that therefore a refund of airport taxes is impossible. But keep pushing! Reply that you are not asking for a refund of your ticket, but for a refund of AIRPORT TAXES ONLY. & airport taxes are ALWAYS refundable.
How they airlines work:
Let’s say you’re holding a ticket with airline ABC from Paris to New York. The booking of this flight is 300 passengers. But finally only 285 passengers show up, leaving 15 seats empty.
The airline publish its statistics to the airports of Paris & New York & airline ABC receives an bill for 285 passengers.
& this is where things go wrong: IF the passenger asks for it. But if the passenger is not asking for a refund, airline ABC keeps the funds. & airlines are not willing to tell you that you can receive a refund of those taxes of work. That’s exactly the reason why they tell you that the fare rules don’t permit you a refund in the event you cancel your ticket. So, airlines are not lying to you, they only tell what they require you to know.
However, airline ABC already received for 300 passengers the fare & the taxes. Depending on the fare rules of the ticket, your ticket might be refundable. But in this example you are holding a ticket with the least costly fare base & the rules don’t let you receive a refund on the fare. But what happens with 15 x airport taxes? Nothing! Airline ABC keeps those taxes! Again, this is not illegal, since the airlines created their own policies & regulations. & the policies state that the passenger is eligeble to receive a refund for airport taxes, if the the passenger asks for it.
Now, why all this buzz about a couple of dollars of airport taxes? Here it comes: At Amsterdam Airport Schiphol airlines are holding on average an amount of 30.000 euro of taxes of passenger who don’t show up. Every day!
On Londons Heathrow airport it’s even more: 55.000 euro a day!
& this is YOUR funds. & you are entitled to get this back.
A few things to keep in mind:
-Have you booked your ticket directly with an airline? Contact them! In case you booked a ticket by a (online) travel agent no can help you regrettably. Contact your travel agent in lieu.
-A lot of airlines deduct the refund with an admin fee of 25 or even more. Save your time and only ask for a refund if airport taxes are clearly over 25.
-If you are holding an Easyjet, Ryanair or FlyBe ticket; keep in mind that those airlines have commercial deals with several airports and are not always paying airport taxes. In case you didn’t pay airport taxes, you obviously can’t receive a refund.
